I write so that you won’t hurt.

Ever since I was a young girl, I have attracted hurting people. It was like there was a sign on me that said, “Tell me about your pain.” And they did. And in those moments, God gave me words to share that brought healing from the past and hope for the future.

In the course of life, I’ve had my own share of painful experiences. Ironically, during the times I hurt the most, I didn’t have someone like me to go to. But God gave me the insight I needed. And with His help, I’ve clawed my way through every painful experience and come out on the other side.

I’m still listening to hurting people. And I can still hear God’s whisper in my own heart giving me words to share in response. Now the sign I wear is the books I write. It invites people who are in pain or who want to avoid it.  So with dirt still fresh under my nails, I write so that you won’t hurt.
