Is the Law Obsolete?

Hebrews 8:13  Why do you think God gave instruction for the law to be preserved throughout the millenia?  If it is obsolete, why do you think the precise language has remained?  If the law or as some people call them "instructions" are obsolent, what else in the OT is obsolete?  Why would God etch his Commands on our hearts if he didn't want us to follow them?

Hebrews 8:13 says the law will soon disappear.  This was written after the death and ressurection of Christ.  When then is soon?  When did it disappear?

Look up the definition of obsolent.  It can also mean imperfectly developed.  So what 8:13 may be saying what is imperfectly developed will soon disappear.  That may be when Christ returns and imperfection puts on perfection. Corinthians 13:10

Read Matthew 5:17-20.  No one OT or NT has ever been justified or saved by the law.  Not one could ever keep perfect the law except for Jesus.  Jesus has made it so that it is as if you keep perfect the law as it pertains to salvation.  As it pertains to obedience, He gives you the will and the power to obey is commands.  Read 1 John 5:1-5 v.3 say "This is love for God: to ovey his commands.  And his commands are not burdensome."

I pray now in the matchless, marvelous name of Jesus, the Christ that ours spiritual eyes and ears are strengthened that we may see the vision and hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the church.  Spirit of the Living God, Wonderful Counselor rain fresh on us, reign in our thoughts, make the hidden truths of the Word known to us on this day, at this hour that we may serve and love you better -- not as bondage, not out of tradition, but in Love.   Instruct us in obedience for we love you.  We seek to live lives that honor your Name.  Help us Father to do only that which pleases you.  All Praise and Honor belong to you, Jehovah!!  Amen.
